About
Tonny is a dedicated and results-driven professional with a diverse background in organizational policy, community engagement, advocacy, and public health. He has over nine years of experience as an Organizational Policy and Development Specialist in Uganda and across Africa. As a Male Engagement Expert and Meaningful Youth Engagement Specialist. Tonny champions inclusive and equitable practices, empowering young people, men, and marginalized communities in their pursuit of justice and equality. His advocacy work spans gender equality, women’s rights, and the enhancement of sexual and reproductive health services, while also addressing critical issues such as homelessness and HIV prevention among Black immigrants and refugees particularly within the Canadian context. In addition to his policy work, Tonny served as a Co-Founder and Director at the Centre for Black Development Options (CBDOC), Tonny’s leadership is rooted in anti-oppression principles, transformative justice, and a steadfast commitment to human rights.
