About
Tina Kim Philibotte is an education justice advocate committed to nurturing liberating spaces for youth and community. Tina resigned from the Manchester School District in the fall of 2024 after investing over three years as the district’s first Chief Equity Officer. She previously spent 15 years teaching English and Dance at the high school and university levels. Tina received BLM NH's Acadrmic Leader Award, NAACP Manchester’s Excellence in Education award, as well as the NH MLK Coalition’s Social Justice Warrior award. She was a 2019 NH State Teacher of the Year finalist and a two-time National Writing Project Fellow. Tina received both her BA and Master’s Degree in Education from Plymouth State University and is currently a doctoral candidate in Boston University’s Educational Leadership & Policy Studies program. Tina recently moved back to her hometown in Manchester, NH where she looks forward to continuing to focus on cultivating safe and liberating learning spaces for all students.
Tina is also a founder of the NH Educators of Color and has been holding space for BIPOC educators to share their experiences, receive and give support, share their expertise, and know they're not alone the in mostly white spaces where they work.
