Meet Susan Elberger

Born in Manhattan to Eastern European immigrant families, this dedicated public servant built a diverse career in counseling, substance abuse treatment, and local governance before moving to Nashua. After serving on school committees and town meetings in Massachusetts, she was elected as a New Hampshire State Representative for Ward 1 in 2021 and re-elected in 2024. Currently a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, she leverages her extensive background in community service to advocate for equitable taxation, school funding, housing, and childcare, finding great joy in representing the city she now calls home.
