Meet Robert Azzi

Robert Azzi
Photojournalist & Voice on Islam and Identity
About
Robert Azzi is an Exeter-based photojournalist, columnist, and public speaker whose storied career spans from Harvard’s Nieman Fellowship to the front pages of National Geographic and Time. An Arab American Muslim born in New Hampshire, he leverages his global experience living across the Middle East to foster interfaith dialogue and contextualize Islam for local audiences, notably through his "Ask a Muslim Anything" programs. A dedicated advocate for the First Amendment and social justice, Azzi serves on the board of the ACLU-NH and has a long history of humanitarian work, including a major project supporting Bosnian students during the 1990s war. Today, he continues to bridge cultural divides by speaking in "the voice of The Other," encouraging tolerance and exposing readers to perspectives they might not otherwise consider.
