Meet Jeanette Millard

I'm the result of a wide range of experiences over my 71 years, and I'm grateful for that. I loved school and stayed in college to get a masters degree in German literature, and one in Organization Development. I worked in education and nonprofits for a long time, then spent some time in corporate America to broaden my experience. It all prepared me to be self-employed for most of my working years. Much of my learning has come from traveling, living and working in different countries and from learning different languages. The more I learn about different cultures and the more I connect with people from different backgrounds, the freer I feel. My commitment to that kind of freedom has deepened over the years, and I wish it for everyone. I came to understand myself and my own roots by looking through the eyes of different cultures, different religions. Many people have given me such a rich education. I am grateful to be able to try to have an impact, through direct action as well as supporting others in similar efforts. Integrating my values with my actions has been well worth the effort.
