Meet Christian Leguerrier

Christian Leguerrier is originally from Canada and has been teaching internationally since 2014. He has taught in South Korea, Macao, and Madagascar and has taught a variety of subjects including History, Social Studies, Science, and Outdoor Education. The love of teaching can be traced back to his time as a baseball coach in Canada where he helped coach a young team for 4 years and helped them to compete across the province of Ontario. This encouraged him to take his initial Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation and apply for a degree in Education at Brock University in Ontario, Canada. During this education program Christian applied to do his final teaching practicum in Cape Town, South Africa where his eyes were opened to the option of international teaching. Christian has always had a love of travel, adventure, and the outdoors so the lifestyle of international teaching was also a fit. Scuba diving and mountain treks became hobbies and something that he and his wife would try to experience as much as possible. Scuba diving in particular became a very important part of their lives as they traveled the world looking for pristine sites and to observe as many interesting species as possible. He is currently in the process of moving to Singapore with his wife and young son to begin a new teaching adventure at an international school there.
